- Drive to Nanyuki (200 kms in 3-4 hrs)
- Lunch in a local restaurant in Karatina [NOT INCLUDED]
- Cross the equator just before arriving in Nanyuki.
- Make some shopping for the coming days in the local supermarket.
- Dinner at the restaurant of the hotel.

- Nanyuki to Mt. Ololokwe.
- Steep descent to the Rift Valley after 40 kms driving just before the village of Subuiga.
